The State Police, with its various components, a representative of the Governor of Kassala, the Director General of Youth and Sports, civil administrations, and businessmen from Kassala attended a program to commemorate the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.
They were received by the University President, Dr. Mohamed Khair El-Tijani; Prof. El-Mahi Khalaf Allah, a founding member of the University; Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Youssef Abdel Karim; Prof. Sawsan Mohamed Osman, Director of Social Responsibility; and Dr. Maha Zaroug, Dean of the College of Nursing.
The speeches conveyed the dangers of drugs and how to combat this phenomenon, which has become a source of concern for families in the state.
The state’s community leaders and figures were honored for their support in confronting the scourge of drugs.
