Yesterday, Thursday, June 19, 2025, the Department of Hematology and Immunology at the Faculty of Medical Laboratories held an academic event as part of the Hematology Club program. Fourth-year students (Batch 27) gave lectures entitled:
– Criteria of blood donors.
– Blood transfusion process.
– Blood products preparation, storage, and transportation.
The program was enriched by a presentation by Dr. Duaa Babiker Abdelkafi, Director of Blood Transfusion Services – Kassala State, entitled:
Centeral blood bank, system, and workflow, Kassala State 2024-2025.
The program was attended by professors, the head of the department, Dr. Hassan Hamid, and students from various batches and levels within the college.
The attendance was honored by the University President, Dr. Mohamed Khair El-Tijani, the Dean of the Faculty of Medical Laboratories, Dr. Mubarak Ibrahim, and the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Mohammed Abdel-Rahman, who praised the program’s concept and emphasized the university’s openness to such events, which add academic knowledge and hone students’ skills in presenting scientific topics in a professional manner.
